Project “Discover our stories – promoting carreers and professional training in tourism and hospitality to boost the quality of aspiring job applicants and advance sustainable tourism practices”

A call to all senior year middle school pupils, high school students, business school & college students and all other students with tourism and hospitality majors

The project „Discover our Stories“ run by Impresia Hotels and implemented with the support and financing from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism invites pupils and students to join the project and obtain hands-on information about careers in tourism and hospitality.

Applications

Middle schools

The project will select up to 17 final year middle school pupils from the pool of applicants from cities and counties where the Impresia Hotels are located. The pupils will have an opportunity to take an individual tour of the closest Impresia Hotel, get to know the daily hotel operations focusing on sustainability practices in addition to speaking with the hotel staff to learn more about occupations in the hotel industry.

All interested pupils should send a motivation letter no later than by 10/2/2024 via email to info@impresiacroatia.com. The motivation letter should include the following:

  • The applicant’s first and last name, home address & email
  • School name & address, grade
  • Answers to the following questions:
    • What does tourism mean to you? (200 words max)
    • Which occupations in the hotel industry do you find interesting and why? (200 words max)

High schools

The project will select up to 40 pupils from high schools. The pupils will have a unique opportunity to individually tour the closest Impresia Hotel, get to know the daily hotel operations focusing on sustainability practices in addition to speaking with the hotel staff to receive more information about the hotel industry occupations and career advice. The selected candidates will also have an opportunity to participate in the Open Doors event and to meet seasoned hospitality professionals who will offer valuable guidance on hospitality careers.

All interested pupils should send a motivation letter no later than by 10/2/2024 via email to info@impresiacroatia.com. The motivation letter should include:

  • The applicant’s first and last name, home address & email
  • High school name & address, grade
  • Answers to the following questions:
    • What does tourism mean to you? (200 words max)
    • Which occupations in the hotel industry do you find interesting and why? (200 words max)
    • What interests you mostly in the hotel industry? (200 words max)

Business schools, colleges and universities offering tourism or hospitality majors

The project will select 6 business school students who will have an opportunity to take part in a two-day workshop with the Impresia Hotels team focused on revenue management, human resources, guest relations and internal communication.

The project „Discover our Stories” run by Impresia and implemented with the support and financing from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism invites students to join the project and gain valuable hands-on information about the career development in hospitality along with an opportunity to be selected for a two-day workshop with the Impresia Hotels staff and seasoned professionals who have a vast experience of working for renowned international luxury hotel brands.

All interested students should send a motivation letter no later than by 10/2/2024 via email to info@impresiacroatia.com The motivation letter should include:

  • The applicant’s first and last name, home address & email
  • Business school / university name & address, year, major
  • Answers to the following questions:
    • What does tourism mean to you? (200 words max)
    • What was the main reason you enrolled in a hospitality major programme? (200 words max)
    • Which occupations in the hotel industry do you find interesting and why? (200 words max)
